Reach Out for Youth is a 503(c) not-for-profit organization that depends upon the generosity of our members and friends to fund research, conduct educational programs, and provide emotional support for children and families affected by IBD. Tax-deductible donations and gifts at all levels are needed and will have a positive impact on the children whose lives we touch and who count on us for so many services.

What are donations used for? Here are some of our projects that were financed by your generous donations:

• Research projects for the investigation of IBD
• Education Day for ROFY patients and physicians who treat IBD patients
• A data base of ROFY patients and medical information for physicians and scientists
• Information and educational materials for the lay and medical communities
• A website which provides education and updates on the organization's activities
• Support groups for ROFY patients and families
• Personal telephone contact for information and support
• Networking with families to help cope with fears and concerns
• Free annual picnic, holiday party, and family outings
• Video for nasogastric tube feeding

Become Involved And Support ROFY

ROFY funds important clinical research and provides social support for children with IBD. We depend solely upon the generosity of our members and friends so that we can make a difference in the lives of IBD children and their families.

Here are some ways that you can help ROFY:

Research: The research database programs are where we need the most support from members and friends. While the hospitals and medical professionals have been very generous with ROFY, we need to help them to do more. Donations will be gratefully acknowledged in our newsletter and at our meetings.

Annual Spring Picnic and Holiday Party: ROFY member families gather twice a year to enjoy each other's company and help leave our troubles behind, if for only a few hours. Donations would defray the cost of food and allow us to give holiday gifts to the children.

Symposium: This day-long event featuring workshops and speakers is a cornerstone of ROFY's education program. We pay only for the luncheon, and would appreciate a donation to help defray the cost.

Tribute Cards

Births, birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, graduations, a new home, - these are some of the special occasions you might wish to celebrate with a gift of a tribute card. Our tribute card is also a beautiful way to honor the memory of a loved one. Your purchase of a tribute card enhances our ability to help children with IBD. Each donation is acknowledged with our beautiful card which is sent to the designated recipient indicating the occasion and donor's name. The amount of your donation is not specified; however, the minimum donation is $5.
